Cool… and scary!
My husband is taking flying lessons, so everything is flight or something related. I’ve seen some hair raising vids of extremely short runways down in valleys where pilots have to basically set the plane down like a Harrier!
Frightening stuff…
I guess I’m a daredevil when it comes to flying. Maybe it’s just in my blood. My dad used to work for an airline and I’ve been flying since I was really young.
Oh, so, Erin, meet Pam. Pam, meet Erin.
Thanks for the introduction, Joanie!
Thanks to both of you! Yes, flying…it’s kind of in my blood as well. My parents always took us everywhere during the summers- we went to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji before my freshman year of high school. Plus, the photo you see there is of the island where I grew up. You couldn’t go anywhere without flying or taking the ferry. There were two kinds of people who lived there: those who were happy to be there and never left, and those who couldn’t wait to leave and never went back. Can you guess which one I was?
hmmm, my guess is that you were of the “couldn’t wait to get out, but still kind of miss it” variety. The third kind. Because you’re original.
Glad you and Pam have met. Good people should meet.
I guess there are things about the island that I miss, but it’s about 5%-95% at this point. My husband wants to see it but I’m not ready to go back yet to show him. Maybe some day.
Wait for me! I’ll go with you and help with the baby. Or I’ll bring Little Dude and he can help with her. He’s good with little ones.
Did Carla use your parent’s house when they were filming “Cheers”?
Okay, if you want to see extreme airports, go to: http://www.cracked.com/article_16556_15-images-you-wont-believe-arent-photoshopped.html
and scroll about halfway down. You’ll see a picture of a 747 landing at the St. Maarten airport, and then a video. It’s a must-watch.
